jaimee, i've said this once, and i'll say it again. berkeley jaywalker are not communists. communists worship cars. communists would gladly stop and wistfully watch a car go by, wishing they didn't have to use their connections to the local chairman just to get a ride in the communal peugeot. communists would recognize their depressingly functional place in society as pedestrians and wait for the light to turn green, resigned and sober. jaywalkers who simply feel entitled to walk where they choose would be sent to the gulag in a communist country.
